Caradrina is a genus of moths in the Noctuidae family. These are typically very small moths, often with a wingspan of only 10–20 mm. The forewings are narrow to somewhat triangular, usually gray, brown, or fawn-colored with subtle streaks or dots. The hindwings are typically paler, often whitish or light gray, sometimes with a darker border. Overall the markings are subdued with fine speckling, streaks, or faint transverse lines rather than bold patterns, and the colouration consists of cryptic tones (gray, beige, brown) that blend well with soil, bark, or dry vegetation. The larvae are usually greenish or brown, smooth-bodied, and cryptic, and feed on a variety of low-growing herbaceous plants and grasses.
