Jacquerie uprising begins 1358

Peasant uprising begins at Saint-Leu, north of Paris, when a mob of peasants attacked and band of armed men in the service of the Dauphin. Nine of the men were killed and the rest driven away. Uprising occur an neighbouring land belonging to the Duke of Bourbon. Within a few days much of the region was in revolt with sixty homes of the nobility destroyed.1
