Pyralidae
Submitted by walwyn
A family of highly polymorphic Lepidoptera and difficult to identify. At rest, these species fold their wings over their abdomen in the shape of a tent. The labial palps are usually very long and gives a kind of snout shape thus they are known as 'snout moths'. Until recently the Crambidae family was considered a subfamily of Pyralidae.
