Peleopodidae

The Peleopodidae are a small family of about 80 species of tiny moths in the superfamily Gelechioidea. They occur mainly in the Palearctic region, with highest diversity in Europe; around 20 species are recorded in Europe overall, and 5 in the UK.

Pentatomidae

When most people talk about shieldbugs it is this family that they are referring to. In some countries Pentatomidae can be serious pests, but in the UK they cause little damage, and some of the predatory species such as Picromus bidens are a biological control of leaf beetle and moth larvae.
