This mid C12 Norman font at Churchover in Warwickshire, is shaped as a truncated cone, with a cable ornamentation around the top.

 

The carved wooden font cover is Jacobean and dated 1673, and the base plinth was made in about 1896 when the the church was extensively renovated by Bassett Smith.1
