Rollo (870 - 932) first Duke of Normandy. A Viking leader and great-great-great-grandfather of William the Conqueror. Originally buried in the sanctuary near the Altar his remains were moved in 1063 by Archbishop Maurille. The effigy shown here is a copy of a C13 original which was destroyed during the second world war.
