Memorial brass of Thomas Andrewes (d1496) and his wife Margaret. Holy Trinity, Church Charwelton, Northamptonshire. At this time the Andrewes were graziers and at his feet are a dog and sheep symbols of his wealth. Within the next fifty years successive generations of Andrewes would be memorialized as Knights and Lords, as they moved up the social scale by marriage and wealth.
